Join Vertical Scope Group’s (VSG) Professional Services Division as we are seeking a driven, highly skilled and competent NV1, Senior Remuneration Specialist to join our award-winning team in supporting our Defence and National Intelligence Community customers.
About You:
- Must have an NV1 clearance.
- Must be based in Canberra.
- Professional experience with HR, Accounting and analysis of remuneration and economic data.
About the role:
- Lead the annual review of remuneration (salary and benefits) for locally engaged staff across 100+ overseas missions.
- Analyse actuarial and market data to recommend fair, defensible, and strategically aligned salary adjustments.
- Maintain and enhance the client’s Excel-based remuneration analysis model (including PowerQuery and data validation).
- Manage and validate large global data sets, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit-ready documentation.
- Procure and integrate market remuneration data from external suppliers for comparative analysis.
- Coordinate global data surveys, track submissions, and ensure timely, high-quality data collection.
- Provide strategic advice on remuneration policy, methodology, and risk management in complex global contexts (e.g. hyperinflation, unstable currencies).
- Engage with Heads of Mission and senior stakeholders to incorporate local context into pay decisions.
- Represent the client in professional forums and collaborate with external organisations on remuneration approaches.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, quality assurance, and defensibility of remuneration decisions.
