Vertical Scope Group (VSG) are seeking experienced (5+ years) Senior Cyber Governance Analysts to work with us as part of our team delivering ICT frameworks for one of Australia’s leading federal government departments.
Reporting to the Director of Cyber Security, the Senior Cyber Security Governance Analyst collaborates with the Cyber Security Governance Lead and Cyber Assurance Coordinator to ensure that ICT systems are implemented to comply with architectural and risk management frameworks.
You will be a great fit for this role if you have:
5+ years demonstrated experience in a cyber security governance, risk and compliance role including an understanding of cyber security architectural principles.
Excellent knowledge of the Information Security Manual and its relationship with the Protective Security Policy Framework and associated legislation.
Demonstrable experience in identifying cyber risks and supporting system owners to under-stand and mitigate cyber risk through appropriate selection and implementation of controls to achieve strategic objectives.
Broad knowledge of conducting risk-based activities in the public cloud infrastructure context.
Key responsibilities:
Representing the Cyber Security team in various ICT Change Management forums.
Contributing to the review and approval of ICT architectural patterns.
Assisting system owners with the development of risk assessments and cyber security documentation suites.
Preparation of system authorisation packages for the Authorising Officer.
Supporting the Cyber Security Governance Lead in stakeholder consultation and relationship management activities with system owners and strategic project sponsors.
Assist the Cyber Assurance Coordinator in the operation of Continuous Monitoring Plans.
Security clearance: NV1 (minimum)
Estimated start date: 5-7-2021
Location of work: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
Length of contract: 6 months
Contract extensions: The organisation may extend for 3 x 6 month periods
Rate: Up to $150p/h (commensurate on experience)
