Vertical Scope Group (VSG) are seeking an experienced Lead Cyber Security Engineer to join our client, a specialist in assurance (testing and automation), security (cyber and application) and digital (engineering, analytics and experience design) transformation solutions across a various of high-profile sectors including defence & national security, finance, telecommunications and infrastructure.

This is a full-time position, offering excellent career pathways and salary package of up to $190,000 per annum.

The role:
- Develop security designs, architectures and solutions - including SIEM and Log Management
- Malware detection and analysis
- Network taps and use of visibility technologies
- Traffic capture and deep packet inspection
- Security incident investigation
- Data visualisation and analysis
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience in Solution Architecture, Solution Design, Implementation and/or Service and Delivery Management
- Experience delivering IT Security technical services in large enterprise environments
- Experience building/deploying cyber-security capability (IDS/IPS, PKI, AV, SIEM, MFA or Proxy)
- Experience enabling cyber security teams to detect, deter and mitigate cyber security threats
- Excellent writing skills
- Experience maintaining/updating technical documentation
- Staff management and review experience
- Excellent risk management skills - ability to assess projects, clients and environments
Security clearance: Ability to obtain (current security clearance preferred)
Estimated start date: ASAP
Location of work: Canberra, Sydney
Salary: Up to 190k package (commensurate on experience)
