VSG have a great opportunity for NV1 cleared Weapons Systems Engineers in Adelaide to work with us on the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) Future Submarine SEA 1000 Program.
We areseeking an experienced Weapons Systems Engineer (Weapons Systems Requirement) for long term contracts at the Advanced Practitioner Level 3. You will provide a wide range of engineering and technical services.

You will be responsible for:
Weapons and Deployable Systems - Requirements Elicitation and Management:
Developing and executing the work plan for Weapons and Deployable Systems (W&DS)
Generating relevant business reporting documentation to Systems Engineering Director and SEA1000 Phase 3 Project Manager
Eliciting stakeholder requirements through stakeholder engagement
Analysing CONS, Activity Diagrams, Operational Analysis (OA) outcomes, and Policy to derive functional and performance requirements for W&DS
Ensuring the implementation of requirements quality through facilitation of operational and technical communities
Capturing requirements and pertinent data in DOORS
Managing version control for Preliminary FPS and approved FPS
Engineering Management/Coordination Activities:
Developing systems engineering plans to achieve W&DS goals, as required;
Organising and coordinating technical resources to perform planned tasks, as requested;
Leading Working Groups as necessary to accomplish planned tasks; and
Controlling and monitoring performance, costs, and schedule and putting corrective measures in place as required.
Integration Activities (this additional scope only applies to the contract extension if enacted):
Developing any necessary integration plans
Participating in and conduct Verification & Validation activities
Support any required W&DS certification or Test and Evaluation activities
Job Requirements and Skills:
NV1 security clearance
Highly skilled in IBM DOORS, DXL programming
Experience using MagicDraw
Demonstrated experience in regards to the duty statement/scope across acquisition projects of similar size and/or complexity (Mandatory)
A history of making responsible decisions on matters assigned, and consulting (providing recommendations and advice) in specialty areas (Mandatory)
Ability to effectively engage a broad range of stakeholders to support effective and evidence decision making (Mandatory)
Excellent written communication delivering output that can be readily understood and used by stakeholders (Desirable)
